Kathy Langston received her BM in violin performance from Butler University and her MM in violin performance/ Suzuki pedagogy from the Hartt School of Music. She has studied Suzuki pedagogy under Teri Einfeldt, Linda Fiore, Craig Timmerman, Doris Preucil, Alice Joy Lewis, Brian Lewis, and Carrie & Sandy Reuning. While in graduate school, Ms. Langston had masterclasses and coachings with Philip Setzer and Eugene Drucker from the Emerson String Quartet. Ms. Langston has maintained a private teaching studio, and taught Suzuki group classes for over 20 years. She is the current director of Denver Talent Education Suzuki Strings.
Ms. Langston currently is the Assistant Concertmaster of Stratus Chamber Orchestra (Formerly Musica Sacra Chamber Orchestra) Where she has played for the past 17 years. This past summer Ms. Langston traveled with Stratus Chamber Orchestra to Prague, to perform for the Prague Multicultural Music Festival. When not teaching or performing, Ms. Langston likes to spend time with friends, do yoga, and spend time with her family.
