Carol Carson received her BM in violin performance from the University of Denver in 1989, under the instruction of James Maurer. Ms. Carson then went on to get her Masters degree in Suzuki Pedagogy where she served as graduate teaching assistant and concertmaster of the Lamont Symphony Orchestra. While studying at DU, Carol won the Lamont Chamber music competition two years in a row. She has studied with members of the Moscow String Quartet, DaVinci Quartet, and Basil Vendryes. After college Carol played with many groups in the Denver area such as, the Denver Chamber Orchestra, the Denver Ballet Orchestra, Mannheim Steamroller and Stevie Wonder. Carol traveled to Nashville to record with the Nashville Chamber Orchestra, Donna Summers and Steven Curtis Chapman. Ms. Carson now maintains a private violin studio, is active in Denver Talent Education and is a member of the Artemis String Quartet.
